Our Urgent Care services are available strictly by appointment only, ensuring your pet gets the care they need without unnecessary waiting. Hubbell Animal Hospital provides veterinary services for a variety of conditions, illness, and injuries found in our pet patients. We have trained and dedicated veterinarians and nurses on staff. We have onsite diagnostic equipment to perform blood work, x-rays, ultrasound, and an in-house pharmacy allowing timely results and treatment of our patients. Cases that require 24-hour critical nursing care or more advanced diagnostics and treatments will be first stabilized and then referred to the specialty hospitals if necessary.

FAQ and hospital responses

Patients will be triaged based on symptoms, and availability depends on our schedule. As we are not a walk-in facility, we encourage calling ahead to confirm. While we aim to provide timely care, non-life-threatening cases may need to wait. Critical cases requiring 24-hour care or advanced diagnostics will be stabilized and referred to specialty hospitals if necessary. Depending on doctor availability, some critical cases may be referred directly to the ER when you call.
The urgent care exam fee is $114.75 and will be due at the time of service. Additional service & treatment pricing will vary. For less urgent conditions, if we can fit them into an open appointment slot, they will be charged at our standard exam fee.
For the safety of your pet and our staff, please allow our trained professionals to care for your pet. We will ensure that you are placed in a comfortable exam or waiting room and will communicate with you regularly.
We recommend all pets return to Hubbell Animal Hospital or their primary care veterinarian in the time recommended by our urgent care doctor.
Yes, you can take your pet home the same night. There will be cases that require transfer to the 24-hour Specialty hospital for round-the-clock care.

Each patient will be triaged and assessed by a trained professional. Critical life-threatening conditions will take precedence. The severity of your pet’s condition, as well as staff availability, will determine when the doctor will be in to talk to you and examine your pet.
We accept credit cards, debit cards, Scratch Pay, and Care Credit only. All payment is due at the time of service.
Given that there are many different insurances available now, you are responsible for calling to determine your specific coverage. Payment will be due at the time of service, then you coordinate with your specific insurance for reimbursement.
No, you will coordinate a pickup time with our veterinary staff. All pets must be picked up by the time designated by our team.
